Sunshine FAQ - Your Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer boarding, grooming, and/or vaccination for rabbits? Yes, we do offer boarding (our “bunny hotel”) and grooming, and we sometimes host RHDV2 vaccine clinics! Click here to make a boarding reservation. Click here to make a grooming appointment. And follow us on Instagram (@sunshine_rabbit_center) to sign up for our vaccine clinics.
I have a rabbit and I need to find a new home for them. Can I bring them to you? No, unfortunately, at this time we are not taking in rehomed or relinquished rabbits from the general public. Please visit our “Rehoming Your Rabbit” page for more information and suggestions of where to bring your rabbit in the greater Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Orange County areas.
Do you have baby rabbits for adoption? All of our adoptable rabbits are adults (or nearly adults) who have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated against RHDV2. See our list of current adoptable bunnies here. We don’t offer baby rabbits and encourage you to adopt an adult rescue bunny rather than taking home a baby.
What is your adoption fee? Our adoption fee is $90 and includes spay/neuter, vaccination, a medical exam, and ongoing support from the Sunshine team. Learn more about adopting from Sunshine or apply to adopt.
Can you suggest a vet in the area who sees rabbits? While we can’t make a formal vet recommendation, you may find these lists helpful: local vets in the greater Los Angeles area who see rabbits; local vets who spay/neuter rabbits; local vets who offer the RHDV2 vaccination.
