Location & Hours

Come visit us at Sunshine Rabbit Center! We’re a brick and mortar rescue, community center, and retail shop located on Atlantic Avenue in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, California. You don’t need an appointment to stop by during our open hours, say hello to the rescue bunnies, and pick up items for your bunny (or the human in your life who loves bunnies).

Our building is on the northeast corner of Atlantic Ave and Cartagena Street. Our unit is on the second floor. Please enter the building through the entrance on Atlantic Ave marked “4202.” When you enter, there will be stairs to your right and an elevator to your left. Follow the colorful paw prints!

Our hours (extended as of May 2026):

Mondays & Tuesdays: closed (boarder drop-off/pickup 11:00 - 3:00)
Wednesday: 11am - 6pm
Thursday: 11am - 6pm

Friday: 11am - 6pm

Saturday: 11am - 6pm
Sunday: 11am - 6pm

We’re open to the public every Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 - 6:00. (Yes, we extended our hours starting May 2026!) Our center is closed for walk-ins on Mondays and Tuesdays but we have hours for families to drop off or pick up their bunnies for boarding from 11:00 - 3:00.
