Meet our adoptable bunnies!
We’re excited that you’re interested in adopting from Sunshine Rabbit Center! To read more about our adoption process and what we look for in a bunny’s new home, visit our Adoption page.
If you’d like to meet one or more of the bunnies you see below, you’re welcome to fill out our Adoption Application—or you can visit Sunshine in person during our open hours. If we’re not too busy (feel free to call ahead to check), we’re happy to set you up a spot to sit with the bunnies and see who wins your heart.
We try our best to keep this list up to date, but sometimes a bunny’s availability changes quickly—whether because they’ve been adopted or have shifted into foster. You’re welcome to get in touch to ask about the availability of a specific bunny.
Esther
Female, birthdate May 2020, breed: dutch and lionhead mix
Esther is such a perfect house bunny, we’re amazed that someone hasn’t taken her home yet! She’s playful and fun but also patient and loving. She adores pets from humans and does well with both adults and kids. Whenever new people visit the rescue, she is our go to “pet me!” rabbit. We’ve tried Esther in matchmaking sessions, but we’ve found she likes being a single bunny who gets lot of attention from human friends.
Bear
Female, birthdate July 2023, breed: Flemish giant and chinchilla mix
Bear is a big girl with a lot of love to give. She’s large, gentle, and kind. Bear came to Sunshine all the way from southern Utah, where she was rescued from a home with 60+ rabbits. You can tell she got into a scuffle with one of her cousins when she was younger because she has one special ear. What a tough girl! Bear would do well in a home with kids and possibly other pets.
Mochi
Female, birthdate February 2023, breed: dutch or English spot mix
Mochi is a playful, bouncy girl. She can be a bit shy but once she gets comfortable she’s very curious about the world around her. Mochi is gentle and warms up to pets and affection from her human friends. We love the special spot across her face that looks like a little mustache!
Forrest
Male, birthdate May 2025, breed: chocolate and cinnamon mix
Forrest is a playful young bunny with a zest for life. When he’s feeling energetic, he loves to zoom around his space. When he gets sleepy, he loves to doze on his little wooden bed. He is still learning to trust humans and he can be a bit skittish when he meets new people. But once he gets used to a person, he’s a total love bug.
Basil
Male, birthdate January 2025, breed: dutch or hotot mix
Basil is a sweet boy who enjoys time to play and explore. He came to Sunshine with his brother Dill. Dill was adopted, so now it’s Basil’s turn to find his forever home. Basil can be a little shy at first but he warms up to the right person. He’s a total charmer with his beautiful blue eyes.
Beaker
Male, birthdate November 2022, breed: Jersey wooly
Beaker is everybody’s favorite fuzzball. He’s a Jersey wooly, a special breed we don’t see often in rescue, which means he’ll need extra grooming from his adopters. Everyone who meets Beaker wants to scoop him up and snuggle him, but he’s a little bit of a grumpy bunny. Before he was rescued, he lived with his brother, who used to pick on him and bite him. So it’s taken him a while to learn that he can trust human beings and other bunnies. Once he lets his guard down, he’ll be a fabulous super furry friend.
Sheila
Female, birthdate August 2024, breed: ruby-eyed white
Sheila is a gentle ruby-eyed white girl with a special nose and eyes—dotted with lovely bits of gray. She can seem nervous but she’s actually very loving. Sheila has had a tough road in her rescue journey and now she’s very ready to find her true forever home. She has been bonded and returned twice, each time due to a bond that broke. We think she would do best in a home where she can be a single bunny with humans that will give her lots of reassurance and gentle care.
